Pipeline Inspection Using Guided Waves

We are proud to announce that we will be working together with the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) to hold a One-Day Appreciation Course on Pipeline Inspection using Guided Waves. Course Title: Pipeline Inspection using Guided Waves
When: 16 May 2017 (Tuesday) 9.00am - 5.30pm
What: This is an introduction to Guided Wave Testing which is a first step towards a certification which would be able to open up to both local and overseas employment opportunities to the certificate holder in future.
Suitable for: Inspection managers and associated staff members who wish to understand the fundamental concepts, strengths, limitations and commercial benefits of GWT. Only basic GWT theory is presented with no mathematical content.
Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements and pre-requisites for attending this course as it has been designed to be audience-friendly. Reading material notes will be provided during this course.

Level 1 Guided wave inspectors are qualified to inspect straight section of a steel pipe for defects such as general corrosion, erosion and mechanical damage.
Level 2 Guided wave inspectors are qualified to inspect high-risk pipelines which are either buried or at a road crossing.
